04/14/2007: "Sunset glide into the marina."
Every now and then I see an image that inspires. This singlehander - Bob - motor sailed his yacht 'Serenity' into Vuda Marina. His was without engine and used his outboard on the dinghy, standing in the dinghy on the stern and leaning in to control the tiller. Added to this he carried full sail and had just entered the tight marina basin. He had obviously calculated on there being not a breath of wind. All eyes were watching and ready to help - but in a laconic manner he continued on and into a bow in, stern out mooring. This all happened at sunset, Catherine and I enjoying the time on the top deck of Sereki Mai, a Defever 48 owned by Catherines parents and moored alongside Chaotic Harmony.
